A process and manufacturing automation and applications engineering management expert, Mr. Perks has worked extensively on vertical and horizontal integration of global manufacturing processes and manufacturing execution system (MES) platforms. His expertise includes Industry/Pharma 4.0 solutions and implementation. He is well versed in the development of long term strategic planning, new system design, validation, implementation and support of existing systems.
As senior manager at Baxter International, Mr. Perks successfully managed the implementation of large scale, global manufacturing projects, which included the coordination and successful collaboration between corporate and local resources. He was also responsible for implementation of data analytics and predictive maintenance, which led to minimization of product disposition and waste. Mr. Perks additionally championed the strategic development and expansion of a manufacturing tracking and control platform, which eliminated human and documentation errors, enhanced product quality and increased regulatory compliance.
Mr. Perks currently serves as co-chairman of the PAT/LCS Community of Practice at the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and as a steering committee member for Digital Transformation SIG at the Institute of Measurement and Control (InstMC).
